Many times it happens that things start going wrong in your house and you are not able to

understand why all of a sudden all this is happening though your house maybe as per

fengshui or vastu.There are certain features in your external environment that can

adversely effect the Feng Shui of your house or building. These are called

As per fengshui the best direction for constructing the house is South as sun rays enters through this direction. But in India people often get confused that which is the best direction because as per vastu North and east directions are considered best. So they feel that they should not follow fengshui as it originated in China. But in China the sun rays enters the house through south direction so they follow the principals of fengshui and so consider south as the best direction. People of India should follow fenghui keeping in mind that the best direction for them is North . They should not get confused. As Vastu and Fengshui both aim at bringing harmony and peace and balancing the positive and negative energies. Thus they both are not contradictory, rather they are compensatory to each other.
Thus we must see the direction of the sun and then build our houses accordingly.

Just like in India, in Vastu, we have five basic elements air, fire, earth,water and space in the same manner,in China, in fengshui there are five basic elements viz. water, wood, fire, earth and metal.They consider these basic elements of nature as basic energies.This is one of the major difference in vastu and fengshui. With these five elements specific colors and directions are associated.

According to Feng-shui each direction belongs to an element and has a number, which is based on - ‘Lo Shu’. Long ago a Chinese Emperor and his men were busy doing work connected with irrigation at the bank of yellow river, when suddenly a huge turtle came out of the river crawling up on the scene slowly. The King went near it. To his great surprise he found that on the back of the turtle was depicted a square with some figures on it. When counted vertically, horizontally or crossword the sum came to be 15. Thereafter Lo Shu, became china’s miracle square. Thus Feng-shui is based on this Lo Shu grid, each representing a number and direction.
